Quadz Commander installation instructions 4 6.7l CTD

Anyone here have installation instructions for the quadzilla commander on a 2007.5 6.7l CTD? Anticipating on buying the commander but wanted to see what it would take to do the install or how difficult it would be. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yeh, me too....I would like to install one for monitoring only and would like to
see what the installation will be like. Does it come with all the required
harnesses and the thermo-couple?

I bought one about a month ago and installed it myself. The instructions they give you are based on a 5.9, but they are still the same. They can send you pictures of where the MAP(boost) and ETC(water temp) connections are on the 6.7 and how you connect to them (very simple). The kit comes with the EGT pyro sensor and everything you need to hook it up, you just need to decide if you want it pre or post turbo. I paid to have mine drilled & tapped and put it post turbo. The kit also comes with the tranny temp sensor, which I have not installed yet. I don't want to cut any of my tranny lines to insert the sender into, and I'm trying to get confirmation there is a test port on the 6 spd that can be used for the sender that won't damage the tranny.

MtnTrucker, Would you know if the thermo-couple is the high temp type with
the inconel tip? Also, did you use the A-pillar mount for the Commander or
something else?

No idea what type of sensor it was, call the Quadz guys product support and I'm sure they can tell you.

I used the pillar mount. It was super easy to install and looks like a factory install when done.

The installation of the commander in the pillar was a pice of cake AND it leaves the handle! I made a fitting for the trans pressure test port which is on the passenger side between the cooler line connections, it is 1/16 male npt and the temp sensor is ¼ male npt. I used a 90 degree ¼ female npt to refrigerator compression and a 1/16 male npt to plastic compression and taped the compression side of the 90 for 5/16 24, screwed the 2 together using locktite thread seal and it works great. I tapped the down pipe so that my dealer would not gripe about shavings. With the usb post Quad will be able to update and offer many funtions in the future. If you need pics email me.

It is very similar to the 5.9L install and you can see that online. RIght now we are supposed to be getting the 6.7L stuff up on the web but, we are just swamped with all sorts of new stuff and our web guys are just behind. It is very easy though.

Does it come with all the required
harnesses and the thermo-couple?
The only thing it does not have at this time is the extra fittings for the transmission temp probe as it is different than the 5.9L. I believe we are waiting on them to arrive as they have been ordered.

Yes, it is a type K thermocouple. I think it is rated to 2200 degrees or something??

Which test port did you use? There are 2 on that side of the transmission and they both look the same. The problem is that one of them does not have fluid to it while in Rev or Park I think. I cannot remember off the top of my head which one but, I will look tomorrow.

Also, the 6.7L software is not on the web. It was, then we changed the USB update section and they put the other latest update on it. The update is good it just does not include the 6.7L. I suspect it will be up tomorrow. If not you can always send me your email and I will email it to you.
