Crankcase ventilation filter may have froze up with moisture. Put it inside if you can and let it thaw. Fill back up with oil also. Where did the oil come out?

Sorry I can't help, but if its any consolation, I'd be sick if I found myself outside at -50. I've scratched Fort Nelson off my winter destinations list
Good luck with your truck.

top back of the valve cover. i've already done all that was listed above. waiting on a new crankcase filter cause its not worth risking it.

Another guy on here had his freeze up at the bottom on a 5.9. Had a niece ice cycl hanging off of it. Did the same thing. Blew the oil out the back of the valve cover gasket.

I'd love to send Mr Peace Prize up to you so you can discuss the issue but you have to PROMISE to keep him.

As for your frozen pipe issue, I'm going to make a large Assumption here (yeah, I know) that you wish to continue to use your CTD in the darker months of the year. Have you considered using heat tape? Would this help?
