Problems with 6.7 - check engine light

Ok so my 07 6.7 has 23k miles and I have had it in the dealership 6 times in 6 months for the check engine light on. Apparently my truck is the only one that has has almost all of the air sensors go bad, including NOX sensor. Dealer said it was combination of soot and sensors that dodge had updated to keep soot off of them. I am starting to think that I need to go to a different dealer. I'm about ready to sell this thing and buy a different year with no dpf. Anyone have the same problems and what did you do? I've gotten the thing down back from the dealer and had the light go on the same day. Any ideas?

It may have to do with the kind of driving you do each day. I read here that these trucks like heavy work and don't do all that well when driven empty or for short trips.

I have had several CELs, had the turbo cleaned twice (or more, can't remember) and oddly timed regen cycles with my 2008. Getting better as I drive it more and get a feel for what it is going to do. Really like having the SMARTY set on SW3 - good power, better mileage. Very much different than stock. But, it does not want to regen with the SMARTY software. Take it back to stock and it goes into regen with no problem.

Quick:

Sorry to hear of the problems you are having with your 2007 Dodge CTD CR 6.7. But,....as I have said MANY times here before, it doesn't surprise me one bit! Contrary, to what some here will say, our dealers in my area are seeing ALOT of these Dodge CTD CR 6.7 Trucks with the EXACT problems you describe and worse Sir! I will tell you what some are going to that you probably need to do the DPF Deletes on your truck at the risk of voiding the factory warranty. Your post, along with many others here have convinced me that I will NEVER own or buy a new or newer Dodge CTD CR 6.7 Emissions Engine!

Wish I could do a DPF delete but The great state of California will not let me. Would have a little difficulty registering it....it kills me

Quick,.....you are definitely in a tough position. I saw where you live in the State of California and I KNOW that makes things alot tougher.

Hey, I live in CA and did the minimal deletes years ago and enjoy the benefits for 2 years minus 1 day at a time when registration comes around and I have to get it smogged. I just have to spend a half day putting the junk back on, passing the smog test and then another half day to take it back off. WELL WORTH IT.
