Check Engin Light Problems

Ok so heres the story...about two days ago I was about to head out of MO and go to MN and threw a check engine light. I pulled out the smarty and had one code...P0237 MAP Sensor Low Voltage. Didnt think it was a huge deal so I cleared it and moved on my way. Truck ran great the entire 6 hour trip on the freeway doing 75 (No check enging). I thought I was in the clear but the next day I went to the store and when I was leaving threw another check engine light. Had to make one more stop so I cleared it again and went home about 5 miles where it came back on in the driveway.
At home I disconnected the boost fooler, cleared the code and went for a 6-8 mile drive and no code. Plugged the boost fooler back in and did the same 6-8 mile drive and once again no code.

My question whats going on here? haha I have read that bad contacts can do this...i have also read that when a map sensor goes bad the truck runs like crap which mine does not. Or the batterys are going south. Im at a loss cus I dont want to buy the 200$ sensor and it be something else. Sorry for the long thread but thank you all for your help.

That seems to be a common problem with any kind of programmer. I have been researching it myself and it doesn't seem to be restricted to just one kind of programmer or boost fooler. Just this morning I cleaned my MAP sensor and added dilectric (sp) grease to the connections on my Bully Dog Outlook Monitor to see whether that takes care of it. My MAP sensor wasn't all gunked up and without the monitor connected to the system I get no codes, even though I use my Triple Dog programmer.

Here's my theory: What I think is happening, is that with the monitor connected to the wiring harness (it goes between the truck's MAP sensor connector and the MAP sensor), the monitor's components and wiring increase the resistance (lowering voltage from the sensor) just enough to trigger the "low boost" code. If any of the connections are the least bit dirty, or if the MAP sensor is weak at all, it would increase the resistance and reduce the sensor's output signal. The P0237 code indicates low boost, which causes the turbo to shut down. I'm no sort of electrical engineer, but that's what it seems to me is happening. I'll let you know in a day or so whether things panned out for me.
