I checked for codes today and these two popped up. P061A and P061C. I have never had a check engine light though. the only Light i ever had was the ETC lightning bolt when i tried to engage the high idle one cold night.

P061A - Level 2 Torque Performance

P061C - Level 2 RPM performance

My truck is completely stock so i dunno. I have read of ppl having the P061A code when they tried to engage the high idle and the ETC light came on, then i read else where it was related to a exhaust brake switch malfunction, but that doesnt make sense. I searched and found nothing on the P061C. The truck seems to run the same. Anyone have any experience with these codes?

 

I had the same thing happen when I engaged the high idle one time. I got the lightning bolt deal. I thought maybe I had slightly touched the brake or accelerator peddle which engaged... I turned off the truck and restarted it and it was gone. I've also never had the CEL on yet which is a very good thing. I also haven't done the key trick to check for any codes...

Taking the truck in for some small issues tomorrow, and I have the AV and G-30 recall done previously, so I'm going to ask about the latest AW flash...

Anyone know what the AW is for (specifically)?

 

Riddler, have you resolved your codes? My CEL just came on and I have the P061A & P245A. I think the P245A is something with the EGR cooler? I have the G-30 and AV flash so I don't know why this would be?

Anything about the P061A code. What is that?

 

The light went off after i turned the truck off and restarted 3 times. I never got the ETC light again nor did i ever get a check engine light. I figure they definitely have to do witht he high idle so i aint worried about it.

Taking the truck in next week to finally get the G30 recall and get the latest flashes.

 

Both codes indicate the PCM needs a reflash upgrade - has to do with rpm not matching input demand from accelerator pedal, and with high idle
