I wouldn't make my initial offer higher than $32K. I paid $32K +TTL for my truck in December with a sticker price of $43K with NO negotiations. I offered, they took. I wish I would have offered lower, and that was "way back when" when diesel was "only" $3.20/gal!

Just got a quote from Dave Smith's for an QC SLT 4x4 Big Horn, with 6.7L & Auto at $32K and some change. I am going to see if I can talk them into some accessories too.

Heres my take..
Jump up to a 1 ton LWB(rides about the same as a 3/4 ton) rig it with a goose neck (the trailer is actually shorter as it extends over the bed) .
There was a thread the other night about some 07 5.9's still on the lots.. they will be more than happy to sell you one.. If your pulling a trailer that much you'll love the GN, the advantage to going to a newer unit with the 6.7 is it comes with a built in jake e-brake & 6 spd auto trans

I bought her Wednesday. '08 SLT Quad 4x4. Big Horn of course. Sticker was 46,6 and paid 36. I'm happy. 10 grand off sticker. Below invoice. They gave me more than I expected for my trade, so I'm happy. LOVE the truck.

I didn't want a gooseneck. I haul too much around in the bed and didn't want it in the way. Plus I'll need the bed to haul displays and tables during the holidays with buns and rolls. Won't be room in the trailer for that. Didn't want a long bed either. That's one reason I chose the Dodge. I get 4 doors in a shorter wheelbase. I'm VERY happy with my decision. Working on getting the trailer now.

I'll be a frequent visitor and poster now! Thanks to all who helped! Much thanks!

Maybe I should go lower. I mean you can always go up, but not down on your negotiations. lol.
There are plenty of 07 5.9s out there and $9500 dealer cash started 4 weeks ago. Start at least 15K under MSRP if looking at an 07.
