New Truck Ordered

I just placed an order for my new 6.7L on Saturday Dec. 1. I wanted to take advantage of the good incentives before they got worse. I ordered a 2500 crew cab laramie with the 6.7L and manual transmission. I am very excited for the truck to come in and I was just wondering if anyone else out there has ordered a truck and could tell me how long to expect. Dealer said expect 6-8 weeks. He also said they take off 2 weeks over christmas, but should still be 6-8 weeks. So as of now I am expecting mid to end of January and it can't come soon enough.

Be careful... your incentives may not apply once the truck is finally delivereed... I dont know if they explained that to you or not...

Just be sure to double check with the dealership...

I ordered because I had two dealers search that were about two hours apart and neither could find any that fit my description. I think the hang up was laramie with a manual trans. At least around here there were none. I figure when you are paying that much for a truck might as well get exactly what you want at least. The dealer locked in those incentives, I'm not sure how that works but when he was ordering it he checked a box on the computer to garauntee the incentives. He also said though that if the incentives would happen to get better, which they have not yet, I would qualify for them.

I ordered mine from Dave Smith and it took about 2 1/2 months for it to come in. It is also true about the incentives and rebates. When the truck hits the ground at the dealership, that's whatever rebates apply. Enjoy the new truck!

Nothing wrong with ordering a truck.

Mine took nine weeks to the day from order to receipt.

Wow you guys are a little depressing it sounds like some of you had to wait much longer than I expected. 12/06 - 5/07 that had to be tough. I would guess that took so long because of the redesign.... I hope at least.

i ordered in dec 28 they built it feb 23 then it went on hold for a couple of weeks then itfinally got shipped in march by the time it got to newark it sat for at least three weeks but because the truck is a dually mega cab its the size of 2 cars so car carriers dont wont to take it because they get paid by the car so they loose money

a lot of these guys ordered late 06 early 07 and it took a while after the change over to the 6.7 Jan 1 but by spring 07 everything was normal.

mine was ordered march 22 and delivered may 10 so 6 1/2 - 7 weeks.

that is about the norm unless there is a problem with a particular part, option or combination of options and that mostly happens when you are closer to a model year or major model change and you are not.

but i would add the time in for the holidays. enjoy your truck!

You might ask your dealer to red tag it when it arrives at his receiving depot yard.

I did it on my 06'. The dealer said I saved a about a week.
