That's great news. I've got the same truck but the 07.5 and we just got back from a 4000 miles vacation towing my 11K 5th wheel and the truck tows great and the mileage towing was between 9-10.5 at 70-75 mph with cruise set so I don't think that was bad at all but empty is were my mileage needs to improve.
Please keep us posted on the flash.
Thanks

Just bought my first one, how do you go about getting a flas done, is it covered by warranty and how do you know if you have the latest one.

I just got mine out of the shop (8300ml)new turbo/cat/dpf. The 1st week of in town mileage went from 12.0 to 13.5, not a lot but a start. If your milage is below or around 12 in town, it is possible that the regen process is dumping to much fuel causing havoc with sensors. I never had a system warning about a full Cat, and only had 1 CEL. /Went to the shop with the CEL and presto new turbo. Steve

Only the dealer can tell you which flash version you have. They have a scan tool (StarScan) that connects to your truck's computer. The flash procedure is covered under warranty, but typically you have to take the truck in with some sort of complaint. You can tell them excessive smoke, poor mileage, or something vague like that. They should then check for the latest flash and update as needed. Part of the update should include a sticker on your radiator support that indicates the ECM/PCM modification was performed and the part number (last two letters are version).

Here is a pick of the label (showing an older flash verion).
