Heck yeah if my truck will hold out till '08 I will be ready for one of those. Just need to get some real world testing on those 6.7 to see how they really are!

New 6.7 & 68RFE

Was by the local dealer and they had a 2500 Quad Cab Short bed 4X4. Drove it some 6/7 miles and played with both shift & exhaust break some, all I can tell you is it is sweet.
Had a salesman print out a 3500 Laramie Quad Cab 4X2 order that I would like and here are some the numbers,

6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine $6.100
6-Spd Automatic 68RFE Transmission $1,575
BLUETEC Diesel System $995

The only thing I can think of is it is part of the exhaust system to help Cummins to meet the new exhaust standards put out by the EPA, and Cummins and/or Dodge are passing some of or all the cost on to the customer.

Yes, but, then they add the $995 Bluetec Clean Diesel system surcharge at the bottom of the sticker.

I believe you would have had to pay that even if they kept the 5.9 for all of 07.

Bluetec means nothing to Cummins.

Bluetec is a Mercedes marketing scheme (joint venture with VW or Audi or ?) that was attached to the 6.7L just to milk off the fact that the 6.7L is emissions compliant to 2010 standards.

Sorry if this was already posted (I didn't read the first few pages).
