I would like to find a flex-plate for a 6.7L. The Cummins dealer can't help me if I don't have the engine number (and sometimes the CPL too). If you have a 6.7 with an automatic, please PM me with the numbers if you don't mind.

If you tell me what a CPL is and where to find it , I'll look for those numbers in the morning .

 

Both the engine serial number and the CPL number are on the data plate, found on the timing case on 2nd Gen's, it's probably in the same place on the 6.7's, but I'm not sure. If you find the data plate, it has a LOT of stuff on it, one of which will be the serial number of the engine, and one field will be labeled 'CPL'. The Cummins dealer doesn't ALWAYS need the CPL, but sometimes they do.

I also want to know where the data plate is located. It is not in the same place as a 5.9. I only see the CPL on a sticker on the valve cover top under the cowl. Is that sticker the only place the engine is identified? or is there a data plate somewhere?
