Unhappy My new 08. Anybody else notice that.....

These things just plain HUAL BUTT now!!!!! Man! This truck is fast!!

Seriously though, the only thing I have found that I don't like is in the storage behind the back seat. It's a great idea but they should put a rubber matt on the bottom because everytime I go around a turn the stuff slides from one end to the other and then back again when I turn the other way...

I bought a roll of tool box drawer liner from Lowes. Looks like woven foam. I trim it with a razor blade. I line lots of stuff with it. Takes out noise and sliding stuff. Yeah, those "vans" are quite peppy. That 6.7 is nice.....quiet too. Too quiet....watch that speedo.

It actually seems like the engine is a bit louder but the exhaust is very mellow. Especially when the EB is on...... 80mph is very easy to attain and sustain without even noticing. I'm sure I'll get a ticket in it soon.....

I drove a used 5.9 Mega Laramie before I got this and it ran really well and the trans shifted well too. It didn't have near the power of this 6.7 though... It also had a history of trans and PCM issues and the trans had just been replaced with only 16,000 miles on it but then it still had issues after that. A quick VIN check by my best friend here on DTR told me all this and also that the VIN had been flagged for any further trans work. The warranty was not void but DC would get involved in any trans claims. The truck had obviously been modded too and they did not do a good job of it.
I'm glad I waited and got the new one....

I know! I know! I have said that before... I can tell you with 100 percent honesty that I have not driven this truck yet where I was wishing it made more power. Heck, I hardly even go to the Performance section here anymore... I love the truck and may do some minor stuff like an intake but since any exhaust mods worth doing are illegal, and Va will have emissions testing for diesels soon, that's out of the question. Power adders are not needed. That leaves appearance and comfort mods which are not "BOMBing". You guys just wait a couple months. You will see.

I was just laying on the couch and realized how good my left leg feels. That's one more star for the new auto trans....

Those extra 49 cu in, 25 hp, and 40 lb/ft torque make a difference.......even with a DPF and in a heavier truck. The ratios of the 68RFE kick ****.

Told ya so, Dodgezilla..................
