Most weight pulled with new 6spd auto?

Hello, I am new t these forums and I have been searching but could not find an answer. I have a 7800lbs gooseneck 4 car hauler that I will be using to haul from Texas to Miami. The trailer fully loaded will be at about 20000lbs. Is that amount of weight anything I should be worried about with this new trans? I have just got about 4000 miles on the truck and drives great so far.

It should pull it fine. If anything ever happens to it never tell no one that you towed anything like that. Just dont dogg it around and abuse it.

I have a friend with the new 6 speed auto and he pulls a 8X34 featherlite and is in the mid 30 thousand pound range easy. So far so good!! I really hope it holds up because if it does for him it will for anyone

So your friend is towing a class 6 load with a class 3 truck and hoping that it holds up? I think you know what is gonna happen. I just hope he don't blame the truck.

I've pulled my 7 ton dump with 7 yards of crushed limestone, I figure around 16000 lbs gross with the trailer. No probs, and it pulled fine.

Pulling the load is not the problem ... ITS STOPING IT!!!

If anything happens, a fender bender or worse YOU WILL BE UP YOU-KNOW-WHAT CREEK!

If you are going to put that kind of weight constantly, get a used Freightliner or International. Don't risk your life or the life of other people ... please!

I agree with FATCAT on this one. If anything happens for whatever reason your are fully responsible. The manufacture set the legal limits and its the customers job to respect them injuring people because you don't want to take an extra trip is irresponsible. Stopping is the problem not pulling our trucks can handle the weight but the trucks weigh only so much and when i hear people pulling 30,000+ thats just stupid.

Heaviest yet was a 40' tri axle 5'ver with a dry weight @ just over 16k. Unit had everything in it including 3 flat screen tv's & a propane fireplace!!
Fuel mileage was barely 9.0 m.p.g. @ 70 m.p.h.
