Question Mega Cab Rear Axle

Thinking about getting a 2009 Mega. Do they have a single piece rear axle?

Thanks for any info!

If I am not mistaken, the 2nd gen long beds, maybe 3rd as well, have a two piece rear drive shaft with a carrier bearing mounted up on the frame.

Am curious about whether the mega cabs have just the single drive shaft.

Guess I should have said drive shaft versus axle.

I do not know about the 2009 Mega Cabs but the 2008 2500HD Mega Cabs have the one piece AL drive shaft. Mine does. In fact you can find a thread were some Quad Cabs with the two piece drive shaft trucks have been converted to the one piece drive shaft also. I believe this was doen to eliminate the drive line shudder that some users have notice on their thrucks.
