I believe it's three times to the dealer for the same issue without getting the problem solved in a specific period of time. Each state is different though..

If your having trouble and you expect your dealer to fix it plug your EGR back in.

Lemon laws may vary from state to state. I had a Durango that I bought prior to my 06 Dodge.
Thing was a POS and it was in the shop 6 times and I needed to have it towed twice. Nice
Three or more times in the shop for the same issue OR vehicle being out of service for 30 days.
I was in like flynn on both accounts. Don't get me wrong, it's not an easy task. They will drag their feet big time. Once a vehicle has been lemoned, regardless if it's been repaired or not, it's marked as such.
They did finally trace the problem in my old Durango to a short in the wiring harness, but the lemon law wheels were already put in motion.

Does that apply only to the new 6.7's or does it include the 5.9's?

Hadn't heard that one before.

Any downsideto unplugging it ?

when you unplug the egr it will throw a code and the mil will come on. It does not hinder the opperation. People are seeing 2-3 miles better

When you altered your truck, you fell out of the lemon law program.

They will never know you had unplugged your EGR if you have plugged it back in prior to visiting the dealership...
And the EGR IS THE CAUSE OF ALL THE PROBLEMS WE ARE HAVING WITH THE6.7s.....
