Leaking head gasket

Just got the word from the shop that the head gasket is leaking on my 6.7. Was thinking about going after it myself. I was planning on having the head decked, since it will be off anyway, and ARP's for sure. Anybody done one on the site that can give me some pointers. I thought about letting the dealer fix it, then just doing the studs later on my own once I get it back.

I would imagine the head needs to be stripped completley to have it decked, that sounds very labor intensive, and I won't have the best facitlity to be working in...

Decking would be the best route. Mine that was decked was out by about 5 thou, according to Dave Cross. I had it o-ringed while at the machine shop. Cheap insurance when you are in that deep. If you can afford the down time, pull the head, and have it worked over properly, then put it back in with studs yourself.
