I want to install a JB for the truck and wanted everyone's input as to what which type and brand you would recommend. If this has been asked before, please accept my apologies..........

I ran a BD exhaust brake in my 94 for 14 years. Good stuff.

 

Why do you need an aftermarket solution?? The 6.7L has an integrated exhaust brake in the VGT.

 

Okay...Here's where my intellect comes into play. What is a VGT and is there a way to adjust it to provide more braking effort? Please explain? Thanks!

 

VGT stands for veritable geometry turbo, the new 6.7L Cummins engines the dealer can install a dash switch and change the engines program to allow the turbo to work like and exhaust brake. If your truck is a 5.9 ISB engine then you need an aftermarket bolt on exhaust brake. If you have any questions on how the brakes work or install feel free to drop me a line.
