If you were buying a Programmer again??

Hi.
I bought an 08 3500 dually a few weeks back,
Im thinking about gauges for the thing or a programmer that has the gauges
built into it.. Im NOT Looking for any more performance Id just like to be
able to see various temperatures and to read codes.
Im still thinking if I should unplug the EGR plug to try and get abit better
mileage cause this thing sucks huge in the mileage department.
So what would you buy?

Thanks
Dale M

edge makes a unit for monitoring and reading codes. It also has no performance gains. As for unplugging the egr and keeping the emissions stuff, I have heard that it can plug your dpf faster and cause more regens. Someone with more knowledge in that area can chime in.

Either the Edge insight or Dash hawk are in cab gauge kits with no power mods. I went with the Edge Juice just because I knew I was going to do exhaust mods and needed the code clearing on start up. I love my Edge and would not hesitate to get another.

As far as the EGR goes, unplug that sucker!!! ou will get a code but your mileage should increase a bunch and you will have LESS REGENS! It was the old theory that it would cause more and has in fact been proven wrong many times now. It works!!

I have the Edge Insight and it works just fine. Reads more stuff than you need. I second unplugging the EGR. Improved my mileage 2 to 3 MPG.
