Idaho truck prices and mileage???

Those of you in Idaho or closeby, what kind of prices are the '07-'08 6.7 Quad Cabs going for? I keep hearing the market is pretty soft, but I'd like to hear from someone who has actually purchased one in the last month or so. If MSRP is $46K, are they coming down to $34-35K??? I'm in Boise and prefer to buy a truck local so I don't get the "did you buy it from someone else" kind of attitude when I want the dealer to take care of something.

How is the mileage with the reflashes around this climate and elevation? Sounds like it's getting better, but I have a hard time understanding if someone in Connecticut on the forum in a different climate, etc. is comparable to judge from.

Is there any difference from 07.5 to 08 besides the Light Load Button? Are the other electronics and engine components all the same?

I'm debating over these options:
NEW 07-08 6.7 Dodge auto
Used 06 Duramax/Allison
Used older GM 8.1/Allison and buy a little car with good MPG!

Thank you

I just bought a 07 mega laramie 2500 auto 4x4 with nav for 41,4 in salt lake city. Dealers dont (or shouldnt) care where you bought it from, when it needs service or warranty its all $ to them.

If I still lived in the valley I would head over to Curt and Hal in Caldwell, talk with Larry Corning. I purchased mine at Dave Smith in August...$35 out the door including tax. Best of luck!

i priced on from Dave Smith 08 2500 SLT long bed 6 spd man and it was 35K flat. My Mom bought her 07 5.9 from them last summer for 36500. I ended up getting my truck a bit closer to home. It was a lot more truck for just a tick more dough 37K for the auto and more extras so I thinkl I got a good deal

Dave Smith motors is the place to buy, great prices and truly hassle free, worth the trip north to Kellogg. Your mileage depends on how you drive so any guess by us would be that, just a guess.

In preston Idaho there are asking 32,000 so that would put you out the door around 35,000 or so like dave smiths. I was getting up around 19-20 mpg then put the dpf back on and the winter blend I am getting 13-14 mpg.

WOW those are some big, uh, numbers you have gotten out of your truck. When you say $32,000, you mean that's the basic price of the truck? That's what I was looking for because the Out The Door price can vary quite a bit from dealer to dealer. I don't finance sales tax or doc fees or anything else, so I am just interested in the price of the truck. Thx

There's quite a few people on here and on other sites who live in other states that think its well worth it to buy from Dave Smith. And judging by the research I've done, I'll have to agree with them. Their number is 1(800)635-8000. Call them up. It won't hurt to get a price quote on the truck you want.

Call salmon river motors in Salmon Idaho and ask for Colby. They will beat dave smith and are easier to deal with. They will also deliver to Boise for no charge. Bought my last 5 trucks from those guys. Price checked them everytime with dave smith and and they win hands down. Its worth the phone call. 208-756-4211 Really....

Invoice-current rebates-atleast half the hold back=deal Anymore and walk, msnbc today had an article that the Ram was in the top 5 most overpriced (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/22496801/), and has an avg of 117 days on the lot. Not the kind of article that is driving customers in!

I'm not sure on the 07-08 prices, but I got my 06 - listed in my sig - stickered for $49750 and walked out the door with it at $32000. I got it at Larry Miller (Sundance Dodge) in Boise.

Is that a guiness world record there or what? $17,750 off sounds like a typo-o or you had a gun with you or somthing?

You should go into business buying their trucks and selling them to the rest of us for 1/2 you savings...
