Obviously, Dodge offers their 100,000 mile warranty (or whatever it is, maybe someone can specify) on their diesel trucks.
The warranty probably includes the motor, the tranny, and the axles.
Since I would get a 6-speed and a south bend clutch among other possible things, I wouldnt worry about the tranny. The axles are probably strong enough to handle a tuner too, so thats not a worry.
Heres the worry: if I got an '08, put an Edge tuner on it, and for some reason blew the motor sky high (which isnt likely, but I want the scenario played out right), then as soon as I put the tuner on, the truck's warranty would be the worth of a bag of dog crap.
So, if something happened, what would it cost me for a new motor? Installed, ready to roll?
By the way, how likely is it that something like that should happen?

The fact you asked the question "How likely is it that something like that should happen?" says you are aware of what you are doing and would not likely be out there beating on it all day long. Thus you are unlikely to blow it sky high as you say. That said the fact you are modding the truck means you are expecting to run things to the limit sometimes and so you will likely fail something, I just doubt you will blow the motor up in the process.
You play you pay.
You play you pay.
Okay, just so I understand the motor is it true that you can just re-sleeve it and drop in new pistons?
I want to know because in the unlikely event that something happens that I could fix it myself-as long as there is nothing wrong with the block.

Dude, it's a CUMMINS. If you drop an Edge Juice on the truck you aren't going to blow up the motor unless you run it over redline for 1000's of miles. These things are meant to last. Normal maintenance and run the hell out of her. She will love you for it.

you cant resleave these their is no sleave you bore it out and sleave it. 5.9 block installed is around 13k and up. you wont blow the motor up usaully the pistons score or get holes in them.
I think he will probably need the edge to clear soft codes thrown once some parts fall off his truck. if he needs the edge for the same reason i am putting one on mine, anyway.
