I Did It!!!!
Went and drove a 6.7 mega silver dually.. First impressions... Deadly quiet!! Smells funny.. It was an auto with the jake brake.. I'll tell you what I am ordering a jake brake!!
Truck ran smooth and really good. Must have been cold the tranny shifted funny at first but after it warmed up it ran really good. Power came on smooth and fast but for some reason felt a little lacking?? Maybe because of my truck and the smarty/mp-8 but I feel my 5.9 stock had more power?? Seems like more low end grunt.. Overall a very nice truck/moter/tranny combo.. I would like to drive the aisen and compare it!! For now I'll keep the 5.9

The one on our new firetruck will completely stop the truck by its self. If your comming down a hill you have to give it a little petal to keep it from stopping in the middle of the road.

Be careful which pac brake you buy, make sure it is the pxrb,, they are a considerably better brake than the old ones.
tbarbe, if you tow, you want an exhaust brake, it is the only way to fly

I had to go try a 6.7 out last week and I was impressed. I tried out the 68rfe and it shifted reliably and solidly. I also played with the exhaust brake and I think they will gain a few who were on ther fence with this option coming standard. I thought it ran very well and didn't have any trouble breaking the tires loose from a dead stop. I would say they would eat any stock 5.9 I have driven for lunch. Overall I was impressed and now I think I want one.
They run about $1100, but you should be able to find them cheaper. I had the dealer install so I can't say how hard it is.
If you're going to install yourself, I would suggest the Pacbrake Prxb. It's supposed to work a little better, but more importantly, it works off of pressurized air, not vacuum. The Jacobs vacuum pump sits just above the CP3 (very tight), is belt driven and can break if the hose comes undone and it has no load.
The pressurized tank for the Pacbrake can be used for other things too like air bags, horns, etc.
Finally, I have heard from a couple people that the Jacobs E-brake will block a larger turbo (I have not verified that though); whereas, a Pacbrake can fit one with a little grinding of the Pacbrake mounting plate. I think Dodgezilla said that. (I'm hoping I can make a SPS6280 fit w/the Jake brake).
Sorry for the hijack, but E-brakes are awesome even if you don't tow.
