how much for new truck

how much did everyone pay for the new truck?
What options did you get with it?
Where is the best place in the country to buy a truck?
How can I get a good deal?

Answer one or all :P)

52900 Sticker on my 08

It was an SLT/SXT package and they added in the leather seats. Had the buckets with center console. Pretty much everything else offered at the time without going to a Laramie (woodgrain = for me)

Gave them 42,300

Ive always had good luck and good service with my local dealer, Acadiana Dodge in Lafayette LA. I have heard that the Mike Smith dealers in the Beaumont/Houston area will work with you too.

Do your homework. Know what you want and what the going price is. If your gonna trade know what your trade is worth. Be honest, polite, and stick to your guns.

Someone who can afford to keep the 04 and buy a new one.

My '90 is a great truck. With all this nice weather Im going home next weekend to pick it up and pipeline with it for a while. Nothing like having your choice of which Cummins you want to drive today.

I dont regret getting my mega. I think Ive got the best of both worlds. That is till I find me a 2nd gen, then Ive got the best of ALL worlds.

Dealerships have been known to be wrong. Shocking but its has happened. More than once too.

Id get a second opinion.

I got my 08 at the end of 08 (Nov) and the sticker was just under 47K. I traded in my 06 1500 which they gave me 2K above KBB trade in because of the lift, tires, and wheels. Anyway, then I told them to give me their best price on the new truck and they came back with $34,200. I felt that was a more than fair discount and signed on the dotted line.

My '08 started off at 48k, they dropped it to 46k to match the QCLB 2500 price. They gave me another $4500 off for Dodge Loyalty and $15,500 for my '03 3500 QCSB with 89k miles on it. As of January I owe around 18k on the note.

My 08 with every option, sticker was 56900! For a truck! After many haggeling sessions at dealer over maybe 5 months got it for 44000. Bought it in 09. The financer at the dealer told me the % rate on the loan would be 4.8% but when i picked it up it was 7.9%. Was a little PO'ed at this but wasnt gonna break the deal at that point, so I refinanced it a week latter at 4.2% at a credit union.

Yes, it was new. I just checked their website, they are not offering any deals like that now. A comparably equipped truck now, they have advertised on the internet for about 44k. They don't have nearly as many trucks in stock as they had then. Like I said, it is an 08 truck and it was in September of 08 when I bought it. As good as the deal was as far as selling price, I will not go back to this dealership again for another one, because as soon as you buy it and drive it off the lot, they could care less if you are happy about your truck. Their service sucks.

I just noticed, you are from Dallas, Tx. The dealer I am talking about is a little north of you.
