Question How long will it take.

I just picked up my truck three days ago after getting the turbo drilled and cleaned ,new sencers and the latest flash. My truck is driven 90% city and urban roads, and usualy within 20 minutes of the house. My question is how long do you guys think it will take for me to get another cel ? My truck has had the cel on allmost solid sence it was new, about 15 of the 18k miles. I know that some of you have had this recall performed , how is your truck doing ?Thanks for all your input.

They have been doing better with all that done but with your 90% city, ouch. I would try and use the manual shift on your shifter and pick a gear to keep that trucks RPM up higher to keep that truck running hot. Low (1400-1500) RPM with short city driving = more soot in the DPF while low (1600-1700) RPM with long highway driving = less soot (gives the engine more time to heat up and burn the soot off).

They will always come back with 90% city. but for now always use the exhaust brake, and once in a while you need to hook to the biggest trailer you can find and pull so hills and make some HEAT. I would like to say different but I really don't think anything else can help you unless a DPF delete kit, that would work all good but you would lose your warranty.

Thanks for the replies. I have thought about the deletes, but the thought of a $54,000 truck with no warrentyis pretty sick. I am trying to get dodge to buy it back so I can get a 5.9, it would be nice to get good fuel mileage with some sound and no cel's.Thanks again.
