Help on how to check codes on 07 6.7

There are individuals on forums saying that if you get the CEL or MIL light that you can do a key trick on / off to pull the codes.

If anyone knows how can you enlighten us on how to do this.

Thanks....

If it is the same as the 5.9's then

Turn the key (3 times) on, off, on, off, on, off, on and they will be displayed in the odometer.

get a pen and paper ready and it will blink all of the codes stored at you and you will know it is complete when it says "done"

Hope this helps

Remember the on-off sequence must be completed within 5 seconds.

I just ran out to my truck and did the on / off / on / off / on / off / on trick and the odometer dashed out for 10 seconds and it said done.

I am assuming it would of thrown a code if there was one and I may be having the so called ghost code issue I have been reading about.

My CEL comes on for about 50 / 75 miles then goes away for awhile. System OK and truck runs fine....

Hope this helps....
