Hard to explain noise…ideas please

Here are a few descriptions:

a) The sound is an intermittent “run run run”, just like the engine sound if you accelerate a little say from 1700 rpms to 1800 rpms, I wish I could described it better L

b) I don’t know if the noise is there at a lower RPM but once it hits 60 mph or above 1800 rpms the “run” begin within a half of a second intervals.

c) During the noise intervals the power does not change.

d) If I put it on cruise at 65 mph the “broom broom” is so noticeable you will think I am pushing the accelerator pedal every half of a second. Sort of like when at a light stop you follow the “beat” of the music with the brake or the go pedal. Again, the power does not change nor the truck jerks.

Thanks for the help!

Maybe you have an injector that's gone nuts and is opening more than it should. It may be just enough so you hear the engine sound change but not enough that it affects the running of the truck.

That's a wierd one Eddie...

You may want to get this switched to the correct forum for better results. This forum is for the 6.7s......

Does it sound like a vibration? Driveline not balanced, maybe?
