Thanks

Howes anti-gel with Straight #2 all winter and temperatures down to -35F without any problems, I use it religiously at recommended dosage.

Howes meaner cleaner in summer and winter.

What ever you decide to use just make sure it's labeled ULSD complient/approved. We need this for the 6.7 emmission equipement.

I don't know if its ULSD, but Sea Foam! A ol' fisherman turned me on to it in NC, he said its all they all use on their fishing boats when they have bad fuel. It does make a differance. When I change my fuel filter, I'll fill the canister back up with sea foam, start it up and let it run for about 2 minutes and then let it sit until I run to town or the next time I need the truck again. After Sea foam I run Marvels Mystery Oil, but you can't use that so in your case I'd run Lucas... 160,000+ miles on stock injectors and still going, knock on wood... Thats after TST R49 and SMARTY and MP8 and waaaay back Bully Dog POwer pup

Sea Foam is a MAJOR no-no! It's alcohol based, which will emulsify the water to the point where even a great f/w sep can't get it out.

Even pouring it directly into your fuel canister puts most of it back into the tank becuase of how much fuel gets moved and how little gets burned. If you consider that even at a very fuel demanding idle of 2 GPH in 2 minutes your raptor has pumped at least 1 or 2 gallons (they don't always put 150 GPH thru the pump, they are pressure based), but the engine has only burned 0.035 gallons, so basically you put most of the seafoam back to the tank where it can do more harm than good. If your lucky and have no water in your fuel it won't harm anything, but if you ever get sea-foam and water in your tank bad things can happen...

AGREE WITH YOU

SEAFOAM and diesels dont mix, do a search there were numerous tests that show it does more harm than good.

Go ahead...

Its why research is important, not listening to salesmen.

I use seafoam in my gas rigs with good results, but it won't touch my diesel.

I'm not going to get into a dog chasing his tail about alcohol but there is major differences in the types used.

If you want to run sea foam to clean your injectors just fill your filter canister and remove your lift pump fuse then start truck until it dies from lack of fuel.

But then again I've been too many times.

A CP3 truck won't die from lack of fuel, the CP3 can pull fuel thru the LP, they are both designed to allow for it.

Yup, your right but there will not be as much excess returned to the tank.

I should have said some will die and some will not. Although the Cp3 is designed to pull fuel, on the 03-04 trucks it has a hard time doing so. 05 and newer most will stay running.
