Explain this

to me. I'm old school and I never would do this - operate the engine brake except downhill. It seems derigur now to run it full time.

he might still have a 5.9l with a standard EB, doesn't say in his sig which motor. The way he calls it an EB and talked soot buildup, I would assume 5.9l over 6.7. I thought the vari-van turbo restricted air in, not exhaust out..

Anyway, aside from that I have an 06 with a mopar EB and I never turn it off except for a few situations when the truck is cold and I do not want the extra noise when idling..

I just leave the switch on and let the computer do it's thing... I am able to time most corners and stops to where I am barely using my regular brakes..
