If it works like an aftermarket it will engage when the engine is below a certain temp when idling. After the engine warms up it will go to whatever the position is that disengages until it knows it needs to engage. This will keep the gate moving on a regular basis and prevent it from getting carboned up.

Todd,
FYI I just had my tires changed at Basin for the sidewall issue........no questions asked. Just pay the difference for any upgrades!!

Stroop, Only two of four are cracking so far and I can't get permission from the war department to spend any money right now. Thats sweet Basin took care of you though, I will have to come check it out next week!

is there an air compress on the 6.7? if not what closes the Exhaust brake ?

No air compressor. These units have a electronic turbo actuator with a gear drive mechanism. The actuator is linked to the ECM via a datalink.
