electronic range select (man. shift auto)

How do you use this? My truck has the buttons tow/haul and little rocker switch with + / - 6 on the shifter. When I use the rocker switch nothing happens. There is nothing lit up next to the D on the gauges? Does my truck not have this feature? How is it enabled? I can see something next t the D but it is not lit up..

Thanks nolo

I hate to sound brash, but the manual has all that in it.

Coles notes. Select D. After a couple seconds you can press "-" on the rocker switch and then next to the D a square with the gear you are in will appear. Press "+" to let it into the next gear or set the top limit, IE for town I use 4. Press "-" to gear down. If you don't want to use the feature, press and hold "+" and the number square will disappear.

Try it driving down the road. let it go through some gears then try pushing rocker switch downward. When you do that it should show you what gear you are in, then hit rocker switch ( -) again downwards and it should drop a gear. if nothing happens then you probably need to go to the dealer.

Exactly. You have to be moving forward just a little.

I figured it out!!! By the way mine will do it parked or moving as long as it is in drive. The rocker switch (I am guessing) was not making contact. I pressed on it really hard and it started to work (I kept on pushing on it) and now works just fine. I had to use my finger nail to give it that extra push.. I have noticed that the side of the rocker switch has some blue grease substance. I am guessing this was causing the malfunction.
