Drove new 6.7 yesterday

My cousin is getting a new 6.7 cab-n-chassy. He brought by one he was test driving. It was a 6spd 305/610. I was pretty impressed with the power and torque. Very quiet and smooth. I like how the new interior is laid out. He is ordering one with the auto and factory exhaust brake. Should be here in a couple of weeks. I will let everyone know my thoughts on the new auto when I drive it.

What is the price of a cab-and-chassis relative to a "standard" off-the-lot truck?

Can you buy a cab-n-chassis and put a long bed on it? Or is the wheelbase wrong for that?? Good way to get the Aisin.

I am wondering the same thing so I looked around at the dealer. I looked under the bed and with a little work it could be done. The front mounts need to be cut and shortened since the C&C frame is flat. The main problem is a regular truck is 56 inches to the axle and the C&C is 60 inches. Maybe you could put a nice rollbar in the gap so it looks better.

Two entirely different beasts. Frames are different. You can actually buy a cab-n-chassy for around 29k from dealerships, on line or ebay. These cab-n-chassy have massive frames, I was very impressed on the difference between the new ones versus my old 2001 model cab-n-chassy. I am very excited to drive the new auto when he gets it, but I was very impressed with the 6 spd in it. Much smoother shifting and easier to find the gears than most other 6 spd I have driven.
