Anyone ever have their DPF Full light come come when running a Smarty and deletes ? If so what was the cause and cure ?

 

i've been told it's a ghost that comes up once in a while, maybe blake clark can tell more

 

Yeah, newer updates of the Smarty will (should) prevent it. But, they can be cleared with the Smarty. Used to do it with mine.

 

I have never updated my smarty, its 2 years old now. Do you down load from Mads to the Smarty and then update the ECM or do you have to return the ECM to stock then download to the smarty and then up load back to the ECM.
I've had so much trouble with my truck lately I'm afraid to do anything.

You can update the Smarty and then update the truck. No need to return to stock.
