Difference between AT and AU

Does anyone know what the difference between the AT and AU update are? I'm heading in Thursday to get the latest flash, just wondering what I should expect to change?

I've had AU almost a week. I'm not noticing any difference.

I bought my 6.7 on May 24. It was built in March. I never had a single issue until 7500 mi and then it was just the never ending CEL must have throne P2265 P245A and P242F at least 15-20 times but never effected the performance of the truck, so I just kept on trucking. Never bothered with the first reflash in June. I was in Wyoming at the first part of August and was filling it up, when while washing the windows on the passenger side I noticed the tail pipe was black and the bumper also I had never seen that before. While getting back on I-80 I showered down on it and looked in the rear view mirror I thought I was having a flash back I couldn't see the cars behind me due to black smoke.

I was traveling through the small town I bought my truck in, in NW Oklahoma the first of this month. I swung into the dealer and told them I wanted the new flash. (This dealership probably sells 10 trucks to every 1 car, in the 6 service bays there were all trucks no cars.) They asked if I had about an hour, I said sure, they told me that I would have to drive it for at least 45 min straight after they finished I said no problem I was still an hour and a half away from the house. I had them change the fuel filter also. The truck had 18985 mi on it. 1 hr and twenty minutes later they had it done. They also cleaned my DPF.

My impressions on the new flash. Well having never gotten the June flash the truck is like a completely different truck the service writer said that they changed the shift points and boy was he ever right. There is no more of the what gear should I go into next on this 68re the shifts are fast and tight. The engine is quieter and just an overall better running truck. No CEL knock on wood. And best of all she still blows black smoke.

I was told the AU update was created to address the P0245A EGR CEL/issue, but who knows what else is in there? Thats what I went in for when I got the update. Haven't had the CEL since then, I don't notice any difference in performance or fuel mileage.

MUCH higher EGT temps (1500 degrees) when it re-gens, a little less fuel mileage, but it runs ok......
Is the black smoke while your towing or anytime your hard on the throttle.
The inside of my tailpipe is cleaner than the outside (no smoke or soot at all before or after the last re-flash) and I tow allot.

I have never towed a thing with this truck. Just when you throttle it hard is when you can see smoke. Here is a pic of pipe rear quarter and bumper. I showed it to the service writer he said the new flash would take care of it ( ha ha ). I think I have a cracked converter and if I go in and sit on them they might check it out, the problem is I don't have the time to do it.

Was at the dealer this morning for an oil change and ask them to look for the AU number and they could find nothing. How about some more clues so I can get them in the right ball Park? They did check for codes and found nothing. So that much I am happy about.

The flash is part of TSB 18-033-07. The TSB has not been updated, but there is a new version of software associated with the TSB. Version AT -> AU. It the tech attempts to apply the PCM flash using the instructions from this TSB, the newest software version will be downloaded.

Just got the AU flash today, I am taking a 550 mile trip here over the next few days I will report on any changes. I am hoping fuel mileage will be one of them...

I've put about 500 on mine since the flash. I'm gonna fill up tomorrow, but I think it may have decreased! The exhaust seems to be getting hotter also. Not sure if it is the new turbo or the regeneration, but some of the stickers on the back of the exhaust are black and crispy now...
