decisions, need inside advice

hello all, i have posted here a few times recently. I am having a hard time deciding what truck to purchase. I am in the used truck market. My main concerns are 1-reliability 2-economy. I have been reading alot about the recent problems with the 6.7 that came out. there are plenty fo 5.9s out there for sale also, they are also all within the same price too. manuals and autos are too the same in price comparisons. So with all that said, are the 5.9.s auto trannys any good? or is the manual still the reliable way too go with that set up. As far as the 6.7s, from what i am reading the auto is the way to go with that motor due to the lower rpms at highway speeds and power it has, but what about the maintenance on that tranny? How much does the fluid cost? how much will it cost to change out the fluid and how often does it have to be done?

So here is the options:

1 6.7 with auto 4x4

2 6.7 manual 4x4

3 5.9 auto 4x4

4 5.9 manual with 4x4

Like I said reliability is my utmost concern, next being economy. so if any of you have first hand knowledge of what I should look at first, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I say stick with the 5.9. Your two concerns are reliability and economy. Odds are you are not going to have the reliability with the 6.7 and the economy you surely won't get either.

Besides...I like being part of what is becoming an elite group of 6.7 owners!
dam I love my 6.7
