Decisions,Decisions

Hello all, new guy here. Ive got an 07 quad cab 3500 that i pull my 5th wheel with (12000lbs) so far the truck has been basically trouble free in 7500 miles except 2 cels at about 1700 miles that went out after a few starts.I really wanted a mega cab when i bought this but i ended up with a quad. So anyway i found a deal on an 07 mega with a 5.9 auto same equiptment and dealer says ill only lose about 2 gs trading in.Im thinking i want to do some mods to my truck but I dont want to touch the 6.7 for fear of screwing the dpf up. Anyways just looking for some comments either way.

it depends on what you use the truck for. if you haul alot of people, trade. if you dont, keep what you got. of course i would trade since dodge is getting rid of the mega cab iirc. happy trails.

Two grand to get what you really want is a heck of a deal. Kinda surprising that's all it's going to cost you actually. That dealer must want your truck real bad and want to get rid of the Mega Cab just as bad.

You're going to miss your 6 speed trans and engine brake though, I guarantee it.

Plus, not sure if you've got the garage for it, but a Mega wouldn't fit in mine so she would have had to endure the elements 24/7.

Let us know what you decide.

i wouldnt go back to the 4spd auto or a 6sp manual anymore! Now they are just coming out with the DPF delete for the 6.7 so its almost time to be able to mod the crap out of them... I guess you just need to decide how bad you need the mega cab.

I wanted a mega cab bad until I looked at it. Then realized the bed is too small to do me any good on the farm. I would not trade my 6 speed auto and e-brake for anything. I love the dually quad cab. And yes bombs will be coming soon as the you know what is taken care of.
