Me and a buddy did it on his 07.5... just some fishing line and a warm day, or use a blow dryer. Move the fishing line in a sawing motion. We got a 3M eraser wheel from a local paint shop to take the old sticky off, and used a Mr Clean magic eraser to finish it up.

X2...the 3M eraser wheel is the ticket. I got mine form a decent local parts store.

Mine didn't survive (new style rectangle). The paint on the back gets scraped up when you saw them off. The individual letters come off pretty clean. If you find someone with a pre-07 truck you might have some luck.

Question,
when Sawing with fishing line are you trying to get between the paint and the adhesive or the badge and the adhesive?

Get you a 3M Stripe Removal Wheel (Eraser Wheel) I got mine from Napa last week and took about 10 minutes to do the entire truck. Just use 30lb test fishing line to take the emblems off beforehand

If you spray some WD-40 around the emblems first, they saw off with the fishing line much easier.

You want to get between the badge and adhesive. Then take the 3m eraser wheel and remove the adhesive. Definitely spend the money and get the eraser wheel, you'll thank us for this when you are done!!

The eraser wheel cost a little more than I thought it would. I can't remember what I paid for it, but I agree it was well worth it.

Is there anything you can do about shadows? When I took one badge off there was a slight difference in paint color, more noticeable in the sun...
