Have a code 2579 turbocharger speed sensor circuit performance, any suggestions on a course of action. Truck has been sitting for the last 2.5 month's while I built a flatbed. I have driven it about 150 miles now since getting it back on the road. Reset code yesterday and it tripped it again on the way home. What kind of damage can I incur? Thanks.

Vehicle Issue MIL on. May have fault codes P2227, P2579, P2580 present.;If any of fault codes P2227, P2579, P2580 are set, check for recent history of the INLET Temperature / Pressure sensor (mounted to the air filter housing) and/or the INTAKE Temperature / Pressure sensor being replaced. The INTAKE T/MAP sensor is mounted to the intake plenum / Air Inlet Assembly, just above the EGR Airflow Throttle Control Valve and below the EGR Valve Solenoid on DH/D1 body pick-up trucks. The INTAKE T/MAP sensor is mounted to the intake manifold, just to the rear of the fuel filter housing on DC/DM body cab-chassis trucks.

Recommendation Verify the part numbers on the INLET and INTAKE temperature / pressure sensors. The INLET sensor should be part number 68002437AA (Cummins P/N - 4921850) The INTAKE sensor should be part number 68002434AA (Cummins P/N - 4921322)
