Turbocharger boost control position sensor circuit range/performance

You don't say what vehicle you have but it was common on the early 6.7s, soot build up would clog the turbo and caused them to drill a hole in the side so they could spray cleaner in it.

This was usually a result of using the truck as a daily driver, short trips not allowing the engine to work hard enough to clean itself. A long run pulling a heavy load does wonders for these trucks.

I would check the EGR as well my guess is the engine is clogged with soot.
