Better to buy or build an oil burining heater and heat your garage. Not good for your engine, not good for the environment, but the latter will certainly cost you less in the long run.

Yep, I would strongly recommend against adding waste oil at 40 below. Been a while since it was 40 below in the Southeast. For my vehicles, I will keep running it, cummins said it was ok. Its a free country, do it the way you feel comfortable.

i only run it in the summer, we heat the shop with it in the winter, since i am moving to florida i will use it more often, i have saved almost 25 bucks in 2 weeks, next tank will be straight diesel though, so i can "wash" the tank as i stated in the other thread, a CP3 will not like the "grit" of the used oil unless it was highly filtered and used at less than say, 5% total volume, i would still worry.
