Question

Sorry to hear you are haveing bad luck. I am new to the 6.7 my self and trying to learn all that i can about it. But could it be the EGR cooler leaking coolent into the exhaust? Like i said i know very little about the 6.7 so i could be way off base. But i hope what ever it is you get it fixed. Mopar72

Question

Also just rember they is a plug that sits on top of one of your heater hoes(at least i think that is wear it is . That say this plug must be removed when you are putting coolent in the engine. the reasion it is pucking it out is it might have a air pocket in it. But that does not help with your white smoking problem though. Mopar72

Some trucks have similar symptoms right after installing a DPF/EGR delete system. Your sig doesn't show it but didn't you just install a DPF-R setup? You may have to deal with this for a couple days if that is the cause.....

I had the identical problem, puking out water, and over heating going down the road. They (the dealer) said it was the head gasket, replaced it and I still had the same problem. After a few calls to "star" they were told to replace the egr cooler, that fixed the problem. (most of this at my expense) Exhaust gas was getting into the water jacket and blowing it out. I haven't had any problems since, and won't have that problem ever again.

Good info there by eb290. You may want to take that to the dealer hyuns. I doubt a head gasket would be bad after only 1700 miles unless somebody forgot to torque the headbolts properly on assembly.

I'm not sure exactly why some of these trucks do the white smoke/rough idle thing sometimes when you do the deletes. Sometimes it happens because the truck was in the middle of a regen last time you shut it off. It thinks it needs to finish the regen and when it does that without emissions parts in place you get the white smoke. Mine did it the first couple times I started it after doing them. It did not run hot or puke coolant out though. Sounds like your issue may be the same as the one posted above.

ya the mechanic thinks it a blown head gasket so he called me today and said i have to bring my dpf and everything back to him so he can put it on and take the delete pipe off that i put on it in case the chrylser representive decides to come and look at it since it only has 1700 miles on it and im having these kind of problems. i asked him about the egr cooler and he said that he has had to replace a few of them but he didn think it was the egr cooler by some of the test he ran.

The dealer checked my egr cooler also and said it was OK. Turns out it was not. Do you want some mechanic taking your head off without a reason? Have them run a check on each cylinder to see if there is a weak one before they take the head off. There is supposed to be a electronic power check they can do.
