Talking Been Reading and Finally Joined

Hi everyone, I've been reading for some time now and it is really awesome to have such a vast array of mostly good information and opinions on something we all have in common that we LOVE. So, I finally joined and looking forward being able to tap into everyone's valuable expertise as well as contribute possitively. So far, I have only 620 miles on my 3500 megacab and no issues (took delivery 8/30) so far. I'm a first time diesel owner and so far love this truck and picked it for the obvious reasons everybody else here did. I call it value. Would rather do without the emmisions and other related issues, but if they're fixable and only cost me time, then I'm willing to wait for the result. I'll be doing my first tow next month (10K lb toyhauler)... Can't wait!

Mega - please allow me to stage a Pre-Intervention...

Don't fall prey to the Dark Side of Cummins turbodiesel torque & HP!

Just say no to BOMBS!

However, if the wife already left you, your GF stopped returning your calls, the kid(s) wouldn't appreciate college anyway, and a mortage is more than it's cracked up to be....

Boost it, Fuel it and Beat it like a rented mule - drive it like you stole it and go out with a on your face!

Thanks for the welcome guys. It is always great to hear those 3 little words, "nice truck man", "love the color" and so on. Good, bad, or otherwise, this is and will be the truck of my dreams. I've gone from import trucks, to 1/2 tons, and I've finally graduated to the top! That lil' Cummins logo has always made me feel week in the knees when it went on by me... These trucks are awesome! If they ever come out with a Cummins Power Wagon, then I might need to go back to school and re-graduate. :-)

Now I need a bigger trailer to tow!

Done! and it's a 07.5 Color usually isn't even on my Radar when getting a vehicle (don't buy new ones that often), but the electric blue really sold me and was an easy choice :-), thanks.

First mod is probably going to be those sweet AMP steps... I'm not short, but it does take a hop to get in there and the family with love that for a first upgrade... They have cool LED lights that work with the steps and shine on them at night when deployed.

That is an awesome truck and a really nice color. You will have no troubles moving a 10K Toy Hauler with yours. Careful with the upgrades, they are very contagious, I didn't think I was going to do anything at first, and WHAM. Once you start it is hard to stop. Scotty

Nice Truck, good see you on the forums. And believe what XLR8R said.. Its a vicious cycle once you start bombing. But hey, you can always sell the kids to buy more bombs..

Thanks guys, I got a kick out of those comments, thanks for the welcome and compliments as well as the caution about upgrades. Very addicting. I'm starting with the superficial stuff first, and will try to ease into the Bombs.

UPS is showing up this Thursday with 5 boxes of a couple things...
