Bad Injector? Oil level?

How high is the oil level on your trucks dipstick for an 07 6.7?
My dad says his oil level seems higher and that the oil is passed the plastic tip of the dipstick.
Is this normal?
Im positive its not overfilled.

Also, in the mornings, when the truck is cold, at first startup the engine knocks loudly. Once he drives around and get it warm, it stops. He can then park it in the morning at work, let it sit and cool down all day and start it when he leaves for work and it wont knock. Only in the mornings. Is this a bad injector?
If so, could this bad injector be leaking into the crank and causing the oil to rise?

I wish I could check on his truck but its 500miles away and Im doing the best I can via a phone.

Maybe I can be a LITTLE help here but I own a 5.9. From what I know of the 6.7 ( I have driven a few) The engine is very quiet and shouldn't knock.. THe best way to see if there is fuel in the oil is to pull a sample and have a UOA done on it... That will tell him the % fuel in the oil. It's a good starting point!
