Yeah, it's still running. Guy that bought called me a while back and wanted to know where I had gotten the air bags on it. They blew one out. Actually, let the air get to low and cut it. I saw the truck about 3 weeks ago. It isn't but about 85 miles from my house. He said it is still running great. It is the one the hands want to drive, instead of an old Ford powerstroke and 454 Chev. Said it will run circles around either of them.
No way I'm going to trade the 6.7 at this point. If there is something else that is broken in the engine, I'll have to do something, but a broken truck isn't worth much on a trade.

As of right now the problem is solved. It was the EGR cooler. A new one was sent down and installed and it solved the problem. I don't know why the pressure test that was done on the old one didn't show any leaks, the radiator shop says it didn't leak, but the new one fixed it. We need to find out what type of test needs to be done to check those things so it can be done right. The dealership service dept. told me to take the truck and work it over the weekend and when I find time come in next week and we will work out the bill. The service writer has assured me that they will make it right. I pulled the trailer on about a 75 mile test drive this afternoon and the temps were normal and there was no coolant overflowing into the overflow tank. It was almost 90 degrees here this afternoon and pulling the trailer up and down what few hills we have around here it barely got to 200 degrees which is normal. When we settle the bill next week I'll let everyone know how it was done.

Now I can go back to work.

Congrats, eb290. Good to see your dealer is taking a pro-active approach in talking about making it right. With some good documentation and a well constructed letter / plan of attack, you should be able to get your $,$$$.$$'s back.

At less than 100k? miles you should still be under warranty. Get the dealer to put a new cooler on it and see if it goes away.

Besides the numerous other issues the Ford 6.0 has the EGR cooler was a biggy. They puked coolant on hard pulls etc.If one has done it on such a new vehicle and mileage is not outlandish they'' be more failures of EGR coolers.
