6.7's with No Problems
6.7's with No Problems
Who out there is having great luck with the 6.7?
I had one P2000 at about 2,500 miles. Nothing since then and I now have 20,000 miles.
I don't idle for long periods and most of my miles are highway - BUT - I've got no complaints with this bad boy~! I really like this truck, it does what I expected and more. My dealer has been great.
I'm a little worried about my truck making oil when it was new, but that has passed. A little worried about the crap the EGR is shooting into the oil. But, people are reporting putting lots of miles on this motor with no problems.
16.22 MPG hand calc'ed to date over 20,000 miles with about 50% of miles hauling a small flatbed trailer hauling rafts at +2,500 pounds - real ugly from an aerodynamics standpoint. It is a high load with a lot of things sticking out grabbing at the airflow. I will get 20+ mpg empty on the highway.
Truck is stock.
I figure the majority of us are experiencing good service from this truck.

Replaced driver seat and 1 turbo cleaning. CEL came on but went back off after hard driving. But put it in for turbo cleaing anyway. My buddy Garry is the diesel teck there and ended up cleaning the whole system out for me. Have not had any problems after that.
No problems here on my 08 3500 with 68000.0 miles, only been in shop once for a new egr valve. Let the engine idle one day for 3 hours and that took out my egr. need to put in shop now for safety recall ( dash shield ) and a new ccv filter. Just run it like you stole it.
Mine was GREAT until the CEL light came on at 24-k now it has been a pure TURD
and in the shop every couple of weeks for the same ol' crap. turbo clean, egr clean, trans shift like crap and shifting fast. Now at 31-k so far still a TURD!

preloader, Nice truck. Is that a mineral grey dually? Never seen one.
Almost at 12k on mine. Bought it new last august. No issues or cels yet. Truck is on whatever flash is on late build 07.5 trucks. Only issue with this truck is the rear seat belts, both started to stay in the lock position and wont realease until fully retracted. Not fun when its around my kids booster seat. Going in next week for them to have a looksee. May get a current reflash while its in, but not sure if I want to mess with something that has been good.
