Hence, truck built that year with the 5.9L people call an 07 of course and a truck built that year with the 6.7L people call on 07.5.

There are plenty that refer to them both as 07 which is entirely correct, but no 6.7L in any 06.

well guy basically told me i didn't know what i was talking about, i thought that myself, but figured i would ask. i was also told that dodge has like 6 or 7 different cab configurations they offer too. not the same guy but none the less, that was a good half hr of wasted time.

Actually they do offer many configurations over the full line of trucks and there were also 6.7 engines in some 4500 and 5500 trucks in 06. Maybe that was what your friend was referring to.

Any other info on an 06 4500/5500 with a 6.7?

What would stop someone from putting a 06 6.7 ECM on their later truck, or did the 06's with the 6.7 have all the emission garbage?

he said 2500, and he said he had a few.
as for the configuations, it was like this, reg short box, reg long box, reg ext long box, ext cab, short box, ext cab long box, ext cab long box dually, quad cab long and short box, /both with or without dually, full 4 door cabs, bigger the the quad cab, but not the mega, short and long box, and of course the mega cab, both short and long box, both either dually's.

now i do know this, they don't make a mega cab long box anything, that you have to do on your own, and i have followed a few threads about it.
i also know they don't make a reg cab short box, diesel. as well as the etx cab anything or this magic bigger 4 door truck, which is in between the quad cab and the mega cab.
this is not ford, Ford has more options, in cabs, or at least they use to, But the dodges do not.
