5500 gearing

What is the stock gearing on the 5500 6spd manual? I know 488 is a option.

I think it's 4.44 and as you said 4.88 as an option. The 4500 is 4.10 and 4.44 as an option. (I think)

I looked at dodges web site and it said 410. Mine has 373 and does ok. I think 410 would be perfect for me.

I wonder if there is a gear offered between the 410 and 488 for the 6 speed?

Y'all have to remember that the 4500,5500 have taller tires. That will raise your effective gear ratio, a 4.10 in a 3500 will not be the same ratio as a 4.10 in the 4500 to the ground.

I believe when I was building my 5500 on Dodge's website, the 5500 was available with 4.10 and 4.44 on the 4X2 models and 4.44 and 4.88 on the 4X4 models.

So with the tire being taller I wonder if 410 would be low enough for me? My 373 in my 3500 is border line for my taste. I wish they were some to test drive around here.
