48re seeping

Hello, My 07 has a seep on the left side of the trans. Above the band adjustment, coolerline connection and the kick down lever. This is not a leak to a drip just damp road grime. I'm unsure were it would be coming from since just a film and above all the seal points. maybe its the vent? I dont want to have the dealer look at it if just seepage and not of concern since I feel after they work on it I will have a problem. Trans works great. It is under warranty or I would brake clean it and start searching myself. It is not really an issue for now since not loosing fluid just wanted to see if any one elses is bone dry or if they all weep a little

My '06 seeps very slightly from the adjuster screw. I've heard that this is quite common and a cure is to apply sealant to the lock nut and reinstall. I haven't done it since it doesn't leak much. I just slid a piece of cardboard under the truck in the garage to catch the little that does drip.

It is probably leaking from the VB gear selector lingage. Where the gear selector attaches to the VB, there is a seal on the case. They can leak and is more than likely your cause for the leak, espacially if the VB has been removed before since that seal does not reallty like to be disturbed.
