Oil seeping from boost boots

Well at least it's not my truck that’s leaking, heck it isn’t even a Cummins. I know 2 guys with 6.0 Powerjokes that have oil seeping out from all the intake boot connections that are on the pressurized side of the turbo all the way to the engine intake. My Cummins is dry as a bone, which I would expect. I know this isn’t a Ferd site but was wondering what was causing this and is it normal for the Ferd to blow oil through the intercooler?

Those Powerjokes leak oil all over! Turbo, rear main, head gasket, etc.

They ought to call 'em Detroit Diesels!

Yes it's normal for the boots to be coated with oil and dust on a powerstroke.
My 2000 powerstroke had oil and dust on them all the time. Clean them off and a few months later it was back.

As Jfaulkner said, this is normal. It utilizes a closed crankcase system as do the Duramaxes.
