4:10 Gearing help

Cool 4:10 Gearing help

Looking at purchasing new truck has everything I want the only downfall for me is the 4:10 gears. Is there a advantage or disadvantage. I only drive it on the wk ends Would like to get good fuel mileage Is it possible Thanks

4:10 gears will hurt your fuel mileage only good thing is you will be able to pull heavier loads

Another advantage is you can run larger tires. For example it works out roughly that a 35" tire with a 4:10 is about the same final drive as stock 265's with a 3:73.
