4.10 available with G56

Fella in our Jeep club just bought:

07.5 2500 G56 with the 4.10 rear.

Is the 4.10 now available with the G56?

No, it is either 3.42 or 3.73 gears. A G56 and 3.73's are very close to the gearing of NV5600 and 4.10 gears.

yes they are. 4.10 are available with the g56. Some time in o7 they changed ratios in the g56 ( so i understand.) And in my search for a 08 truck I ran across a bunch of 3500 with the g56 and 4.10,s. I think theres even one or two on ebay.

Yep, the newer updated G56 has a .74 OD vs. .79 for the older model.

Wish I had 4:10's in mine I'd run 35" tires if I did.

You should have 3.73 if there was no paper work. It would be listed under standard equipment for a certain package or in the options list under antispin. I dodnt think until 08 you could get 410 with g56 unless you had a cab/chassis 2500/3500

that is my understanding as well only in c/c maodels and I could not imagine even with the new ratio having 4.10s unless you were running 37s or larger simply not necessary

Not without an aux overdrive on I wouldn't but I think 3:73 is lousy with just 285's. Puts me at about 3:55 last time I plugged in the numbers on a tires website that calculated it.

4:10's with 35" tires would have me back close to stock @ 3:63 ratio.

3:73's with 35" right now would give me effectively a 3:30

3:73's with my current 33" now has me @ 3:50

I plugged in approx tire diameter sizes 33 instead of 32.7 etc, close enough.. I've already got the top end rpms problem solved but there's no way I would run 35 tires without 4:10 gears.

I run 37" Toyos with the G56/3.73s for decent highway mileage... and it makes 1st gear useful as well.
