grid heater...check into it.

Its a problem going on right now with some 07's I imagine with 08's too. Some ECU issue, All I know is Im waiting on a new comp or some download. Everytime its a good cold night...my engine light will stay on. Apparently if you plug it in...it wont happen. My light comes on for a few days...then goes off. Only to come back on again. Luckily..the truck always starts.

ITs not really cold down here in Atlanta....Today its 45 degrees and its also giving me problems during the day when its warmer.... Maybe a grid problem with the computer but I think it might be something else. Mileage is not great 15mpg mostly highway.

to get the code, cycle the key from the off position: on,off,on,off,on,off. do it rapidly (within a few seconds). this will bring up the codes in the odometer window. oh yeah, just in case, on is the accessory position. don't sart the truck.

Engine Light

Last friday I had the G-30 recall done. This friday my check engine light came on and it started sucking fuel like a big dog. Called the dealer and they can't see me until next friday. I just tryed the key on and off to read the coed but I was to fast and it cleared the coed.

Don't feel bad. I just had a turbo replaced (2nd one) about 2 weeks ago (about 15.5k miles). Supposedly there is some improvement in the newer turbos according to the dealer but I wouldn't vouch for that. Turbo problems seem to be pretty common due to excessive soot. Hope there'll be a permanent fix someday. Replacing a turbo not under warranty will be big $$.
