once again this "darn " truck wont crank or start , batteries down and just installed two new platinums and still drains down, put truck in shop while still under warrantee last year for same probs but they couldnt find any parrasidics... now doing same thing again and all cables are clean and tight. hope someone else has had this and can get me out of this bind gotta go out of town with fifthwheel and cant start...PLEASE HELP !!! They did replace starter and one batt. but said other was good so decided to do both this time because one was bad...

 

Make sure that useless engine compartment light goes off when the hood is closed.

 

Start pulling fuses. If you have access to a multimeter, you can measure the amp draw on the battery and start pulling fuses until the amps drop off. I would start with the aux outlet fuse first.

 

Thanks Gatorama .. Already got rid of that pesky light under hood had mouse nesting there and chewed up the wires, so got rid of all that....

 

LIL DOG : thats a great idea I think I will try that next, The dealer had it for a month at a time for 3 different times and couldnt come up with anything. so again thanks for info.
